The amount of plastic refuse caused by end users will double by 2006 (based upon 2001 data). The implementation of the EU Packaging Ordinance and the adaptation of environmental laws in the countries that joined the European Union in 2004 will hasten this development.
The basis of our business is our focus on the wholesale trade of raw materials for the processing of plastics and synthetics. Imports and exports of these materials help us to raise our market profile. As is common on this level, we employ a management system. We periodically establish our Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) through a Balanced Score Card (BSC). In keeping with our focus, we work hard to intensify our collaboration with customer and supplier contractors as well as with our partners in processing. Our long-term goal is to achieve a mean return 5 % higher than the market average. We rate our own performance through comparison with the results of the polyolefines manufacturers.
